I hope they didnt breach his human rights? Perhaps they should have sent him here so they could put him up in a one million pound house with all bills paid. Then he could have brought the rest of his family over. Gordon could put a 70 year news blackout and find him a new name.

The people sorted Mussolini and his partner out very effectively. However it was done, Chemical Ali deserved what he got, he was guilty of shameful crimes. Don't know whether it was better or worse to have to wait all that time after his leader was topped.

This was well before Blair and Bush... the government of the day didn't say anything about it because Iraq was seen as the lesser of two evils in the war with Iran. Saddam was fairly moderate because he wasn't a religeous nut. In fact, the US supplied him with a lot of the chemicals needed to carry out the attack. Much of the Iran/Iraq war benefited from western support too.

Saw this posted up elsewhere today.
Chemical Ali has been executed by hanging. Sky news said that one of the offences was displacing Shi'ites in 1999.
