Anyone watched this fella? My girlfriend loves him, so i bought her his DVD for crimbo. Watched it last night, she loved it but i just sat there thinking this is some extra that didn't quite make it to be a vampire in The Lost Boys and didn't laugh once at the whole thing.

Pretty crap considering alot of the hype he's getting. He's a male Victoria Wood, completely unfunny and unappealing to all my senses.

I don't find his stand-up particularly funny, but he is definitely a talented musician and songwriter, some of his songs have had me crying with laughter

I agree about Victoria Woods, i can't abide her, but Tim Minchin is a very original performer. Depends what comedy you like. He's quite subtle, which isn't the same as having Roy Chubby Brown mouthing obscenities for laughs for example.

Too subtle, possiblely! as i like my comedy funny and my action films actiony if you know what i mean! I just don't find songs about canvas bags funny

In saying that i dislike Roy Chubby Brown too and Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr. the ******** from Little Britain, Peter Kay, Russell Howard, Ricky Gervais and the list goes on. I'm more a Billy Connolly & Blackadder esq. fan.

As ever its all down to individual taste. Senses of humour are bound to vary.

I dont particularly like Jam's list either, Peter Kay can be funny at times. I think Victoria Wood is a very good comedienne and script writer too. She is also very unselfish when she writes a script for a comedy she appears in because her fellow actors get just as many funny lines. She has maintained her standard for a long time too.

i quite like him, but yeah, i find that his songs are funnier than his stand-up.

i find that i get a bit bored watching just a one comedian show, much prefer things like mock the week, buzzcocks and QI where you get a little bit from a few comedians.

i don't like him but then i also hate that lee evans with avengance, i really wanna punch him in the face. but i do really like frankie boyle, jethro, kevin bloody wilson and jimmy carr.
