Watched it on download as the series ran in the US.
Actually thought the pilot had a bit of home, some dodgy acting in general but at least the car was plausable if perhaps a little "too advanced". Remainder of the series was a let down with the car doing "transformer" type things, and the acting getting worse each episode.
Worth a watch if you can take it for what it is - a bit of light hearted comedy action. But if your a fan of the original series, it's not up to par i'm afraid.

Been watching it. Found it pretty good. But thought the karr epsisode was a let down and some really jumpy storylines Just dnnt always make much sense as to whats going on. the original was much better.. In its day though. To watch the old episodes now just looks so dated and same old bad acting. Maybe its my age

Well for those interested the new Knight Rider series was canned after it's first season by it's network due to poor ratings. Do prefer the original, although thought Airwolf and Streethawk were far better in my opinion

i watched a couple of the new ones but just couldn't get into it.would much rather watch the old one.you carn't beat hasselhoffs massive curly hairdoo and his hairy chest sticking through his unbuttoned shirts.ahh they just dont make em like they used to.

I agree the new 1 isnt going to win any major awards but there is worse things on TV and there is plenty of fit females(filmed like Las vegas)
I do agree the Karr episode left one hell of a lot of gaps and was/ Is the worst episode of season 1,

I downloaded it ages ago and find entertaining (which is all its meant too be)

It's called getting older mate, when i watched the original it was aimed at my age group at the time, watching the newer one just to see what they'd done to it didn't impress at all considering the time and technology available these days, that's all.
They've also picked the wrong car as a replacement, it looks too heavy.
One big brown steamer i'm afraid.

The "attack" mode was bleeding stupid and made the car look like a toy. The cars ability to morph was also very stupid.
The stories and characters couldn't quite make up their mind which they wanted to be - a kids show or a young adult show. The saucy bits looked out of place.
It never really stood a chance. Some of it wasn't bad but most of it was.
