What are they on? I wonder who actually makes these decisions, and who approved it? Look out for jobsworth car park inspectors in Hertford.

Herts never fail to amaze me. I have been asked to reinstate a ditch in my garden cos it appeared on a 1898 map, and the particular council person (who shall remain nameless) made that recommendation since I have a bigger house than him and he has to make do with a two-bed semi (and yes he actually said that). What hope is there!!! Jen.

Steve, me being a single woman with some dosh was just the final straw for him at the end of a bad day and he actually said he was pleased that I had bought a lovely property and that it had got flooded. Obviously I tried to turn him to a small submisible object but he just kept on bobbing back up to the surface!!!

Ooh -- tell me who it was Jen! I know a few councillors (FWIW my dad's the mayor at the moment -- I know it wasn't him as he hasn't got a 2-bed semi).

Carl .. it wasn't a councillor, but an engineer having a bad day!!! and I should not name any names!! But what he said was extremely discriminatory and totally unPC and I was extremely surprised to hear it (and I only asked him what was the outcome of his survey!). I told him my husband had just done a runner leaving me with bad debts!!! whilst seeing if he could impersonate a submarine!! Jen.

I'm up S/ford way, and I have not managed any Herts meets yet, since I have been previously booked up. Been to Surrey and a few Halfway meets and really enjoyed them, so hopefully will be able to get to a Herts meet soon. Jen.
