My youngest daughter (5) had the 10th anniversary edition of the book as a present from her grandparents yesterday - it's one of those stories that she really enjoys and is very fond of - so it was a great surprise to see it on the box yesterday.

I thought the BBC did a great job and it was a very close likeness to the book itself.

To be honest I think the BBC does a really good job when it comes to childrens' content. Cbeebies, both the channel and website, are great learning tools and are so accessible to all children, so much so that my youngest knows the website inside out - this advent the first thing she did each morning was fire up the laptop and go straight to the cbeebies website (we've set it as her homepage for easy access) so that she could open the cbeebies advent calendar.

Well done BBC.
