I know what you mean, Tennant is probably my favourite Dr and John Pertwee a very close second, John was around when i was a lad/growing up and he was a brilliant Doctor Who, oh those 'special' effects...still had me hid behind the settee mind

the "green slime" episode, with the maggots affected me for years
could not sit comfortably on the toilet for ages!!!!!
the accessibility of it all (films etc) destroys thge magic of the xmas schedules imo
but would deffo watch Point Blank (Lee Marvin) -- if it is on

Gavin and Stacey Xmas special for me. It started well in S1 and has declined, but that's it for me.
I'm also keen to see if the Royle Family can get any worse. The trailor for it hints that it can.

I want a remake of the Great Escape where he actually jumps that damn fence. Although of course they are not allowed to tell you which version you are watching until you actually see IF he manages to clear the second fence.....now that would make the Great Escape really watchable again

I've not actually had a look at the Christmas schedules yet, but I am very much looking forward to Dr Who
I grew up during the Tom Baker years, so he was obviously my favourite, but I have to say, I don't envy the guy who has to follow Tennant :
BTW, I suspect the rate at which Gavin and Stacey has gone downhill is inversely proportional to the that at which James Corden's head has disappeared up his own @rse

The Gruffalo - my kids have loved it since they were little, so we all want to see it.
Dr Who for me, but everyone in my family looks at me funny when I ask to watch it.
