Am enjoying my 4th glass of Pinot
Got a bottle of Moet the other half bought me when our Son was born. It's in the fridge as we speak and my Son is now 19. Hope it doesn't go off

There are sparkleing Malvasia's from northern Italy for £10-15 that have more depth and quality than 90% of what turns up with a champagne label on.

Depending on specifically which MOET you almost certainly have a bottle of sweet **** sitting in the fridge. Even if it is Dom Perignon there are are very few years that would last that long in the fridge. You should never keep good champagne in the fridge, chill it when you want to drink it. Also apart from the very top brands of champagne you could almost certainly get a better value sparkling from outside the champagne region.

You can tell we aren't seasoned Champagners
We do have a bottle of Bollinger that has been in the wine rack for a good fews years. Maybe that one will be ok. I'll leave it there

Must say I prefer the regular Bollinger, I've tried the more expensive Bolly (with the black label), I got a couple of bottles of Krug for my birthday which were ok. Veuve is quite nice and Moet is pish.
Best value for money seems Bolly special cuvee

Bolly seems to taste much deeper and smoother to me anyway. If you buy from the right place its not really anymore expensive than Moet.
I buy it from Costco and its about £26, Sainsburys have it for £35! As I'm saving almost a tenner a bottle, it makes financial sense to drink it!
