Does Anyone Else Get Shafted On A Friday
Work-wise I mean
It seems, no matter how much i plan my Friday the hand of something comes and pokes me straight in the eye
and it takes me all day(sometimes into Saturday, which is what today is looking like) to do a job that should only of taken me half that time and it is always out of my control
My gaffa says 'if it wasn't for bad luck then i wouldn't have any luck at all'

Due to my god mothers religion, I think they have to work until sun down on Friday?
Great in the winter but a bummer in the summer. She also doesn't work on Saturday.

ICT facilitation today. Look in every hour or so just to check. surf t'interweb, go home at 15.30. Eating out at indian tonight about 8ish, few tiger beers, few bacardis, listen to some smooth music to early morning. A nice day in my book that doesn't happen very often.

I'm in Blackburn and have yet to goto Runcorn and pick up a load then get it back to the docks at Immingham!
Chances of getting home tonight??? **** all

i dont anymore, we supposed to finsh at 5pm but im always nearer 6pm, so i gave myself a mental shut off from tonight after 4pm, i go to the airport to do what i have to do. and sod it what doesnt get done doesnt get done.

I w*rk in print, where every designer, editor, publisher and general idiot who has anything they need printing tinkers with their design, reworks it, tinkers some more, then forgets about it, until Friday that is. Then they all suddenly remember that it's needed for delivery to the customer on Monday and all simultaneously email/FTP/courier their $h!te to us and expect it all done on time and for less than the quoted price, regardless of the catalogue of errors in their files and designs. Add to that the ***** who w*rk (irony) during the week doing as little of sweet FA as they can leaving us weekend w*rkers with the presses up our derrieres the minute we walk in and most weekends suck, BIG STYLE ! Of course, when the lazy midweekers arrive on Monday morning, complete with hangovers to sit for the first few hours checking emails, Facebook, fantasy football scores, real football results etc etc, we will, as usual, have caught the company right up, and most likely have the presses 2-3 days in front and data handling 3-4 days in front. Same old, same old, every foofing week ! And the midweekers have more staff, full clerical, admin and managerial support, and easier access to clients whom we usually disturb in the pub when we have to.
Can we cancel Fridays please
