Default Any recommendations for a cheap jet wash??

Sick of my car looking dirty and thought it about time i bought a jet wash

Are the cheapo ones from Halfords any good or are they sh1te?
Dont need a mega powerful one, just one sufficient to give the car a good blast and maybe the odd bit of decking a clean

Wanted one with/on wheels really to save lugging the bugger about around the car

Any recommendations

In b&q at the moment they have a black and decker one on offer with all the brushers and that for £49.99. Its doesn't look to bad for the money.

Nilfisk ALTO C120.4-6 X-TRA Pressure Washer - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

Free next day delivery. You can get an extra 10% off with a voucher as well. I got another model in the same range a couple of weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it.

The cheap ones have plastic pumps which is why they screw up so often.

Mine came from Wickes, it's the slightly more powerful one.

This is a good buy considering what all the included accessories and detergent would cost seperatley. I have a Karcher, its great for doing flags, fencing and bricks as well as the car.

I recon ill buy this one from B+Q and (as reccomended) get a cheeky 15% off

Kärcher K2.110 Pressure Washer 1.671-848.0 Black/Yellow, 1.671-848.0

Doesn't say if it has a plastic or metal motor tho, more digging needed
Why on earth would you make a motor out of plastic in the first place

*slopes of to see if they sell chocolate teapots too*

I bought a cheap one from B and Q, thought it wouldnt last a year, still going strong five mistreated years later, just treated it to a new hose off Ebay for £12, for domestic stuff the cheap ones are plenty good enough.

I bought a halfords one about 2 years ago - Its still going strong.

It will however cutout for a few minutes after a period of prolonged constant use
i.e. powerwashing driveway for example - I get about 1/3 of the way down a very badly stained drive way - maybe 1 hour's usage and off it goes

Lance isn't really long enough on it though - and I'm only about 5'10" and end up with a bad back afterwards

Don't judge a washer by the water pressure it works at. The flowrate of the water is more important as to how it will perform.

I find that Mrs Leslie is pretty inexpensive as far as washing the car goes!

Fully agreed for domestic use.

No need to go "crazy" just to do your car at home, the ones i have here at work are around 600quid a pop for the basic pump and 3 phase motor, and that is me getting them around half price from a bloke in the trade

They do work quite well mind
Usually get around 2-3 years use (around 10 hours constant use per day) before something needs replaced

The prewash pad monster we use at the car wash is only rated to 110 bar iirc it has 14 litres/min flow

My backup unit has 13 litres/min flow

And the one my mate has borrowed has 11 litres/min flow

They can shift some water

That deal is nowhere as good as this Karcher deal, look at the extras and cleaning fluid you get for just £20 more. XCheck the prices of the brush and patio cleaner plus fluid if you bought them seperate as the prices for those are on the ideal site.

It only ended up costing £76.49 as it was on special offer at £89.99 + the 15% off on the day Not bad as it was originally £109.99 in store

Just need it to stop raining so i can blast all the soggy leaves wedged down the window sills
