No, just buy Millers Power Sport 4 to up the cetane rating to the optimum for 1p per litre instead of the 4-9p premium the fuel companies charge for their 'super' diesels.

we had a polo bluemotion, supposedly one of the most economical cars on the road (up to 72mpg, allegedly). we tried this fuel once and got a whopping extra 12 miles to a full tank!! so imo, no. but i have no idea how it may affect the consumption of a bigger more powerful vehicle.. only 1 way to know for sure really.

I put some in my astra van the other day just to see what it was like. Its probably all in my head but it did seem to run smoother and go a bit better? Its 10p per litre more than normal diesel.

I definitely think you can tell the difference. However, i don't think you need to use it every time; every other fill-up or even one in three still seems to be enough for better performance, smoother running etc.
