Been watching this whilst doing bits and bobs around the house today and i have to say its ****ing awful! Do people actually go out into "Clubland" and listen to this sort of tripe?
As for the women on it, they all look like belfast muffin topped tanned to the hilt slags.

You're right, the birds are horrendous. Have you seen Darren Styles starring in his own videos too? F*cking gay boy. It's clearly aimed at a certain section of society. As you say, the ones who care more about getting to the tanning salon before going clubbing than anything eles in life. This is why dance music will never be the same. Raves started out as an experience. Now clubs are a place to be seen with your bright orange tan. I wish some of the girls could see how ridiculous they look. Lol
I could go on all day(while laughing at them), but to sum up... it's manufactured sh*te aimed at a naive group of people to make money.

Things like this ruin dance music. I am heavily into my house and love all other forms of dance music, for me no music can create ambiance or take me to levels like real dance music can. My only problem with it is i was born 10 - 15 years too late. My brother came home the other day (hes 29 im 20) and he was shocked to find me listening to early 90's acid house, and early hardcore tracks. I took him back to the real dance music and rave days
Darren styles....ergh.

Can I also add Basshunter to a list of things I'd like to see destroyed. He look utterly pathetic starring in his own videos. What age is he anyway? Looks about 40 and totally out of place with that girl who's in them.
Then there's the super serious tragic stories in some of them. Girl sends text at start of the video breaking up with the guy(who the f*ck does that???? clearly aimed at 13-15yr olds in high school), then sends another at the end of the video saying she wants him back. They get together, dance, kiss... it's a lovely story.

i cant slag styles off for what he has done for the hardcore scene over the years, its just a shame he went to commercial with stuff like this bringing loads of clubland ******** to raves. thats my only gripe! guess hes got to make his money somewhere though as there is so little in the music scene with piracy nowadays..

It's all **** (Clubland type stuff).
Just before the owner of the bar I DJ'ed at went all hip-hop and RnB, I was starting to get a decent clientelle. The orange skin was fading out and the raving pants were creeping in.
LOL, I get stick for not conforming to the mainstream at work. Seriously some of the **** the younger lads on my apprenticeship listen to isn't even liable to be called ****
Commercialisng dance music too much was the worst thing that could have happened. Now any cheese monger from Belgium (Ian Van Dahl or Lasgo anyone?) can get a computer, some cheesey samples and call it a Clubland 168,767,341,244,556,346,346 "Hit".
Cascada?? I could throttle the ugly bitch

Ah well... see if anything else comes up.

It's a joke isnt it. When i was DJ-ing in a bar last year for the summer, i was playing house, it started to get a bit good with regulars changing and people appreciating the music, but then i heard rumor that they diddn't think i was commercial enough, So in order to prevent getting dropped i adjusted to play commercial stuff and just chuck a bit of my stuff in there too. It was the worst choice i made, in the end i quit as it took al the fun out of it. Strictly house. My only rule now

Market = Saturated, perhaps? Since the start of the recession there was something like a 20% rise in the sales of dj equipment, which to me says people were turning to this for money?
To get yourself out there, you need a unique style to go with your name. I think anyone could fade 2 tracks into each other but if everyone did that the world of dj'ing would be rather bland.
Theres also the genre thing, if you play a cetain genre you need to play out to a crowd that appreciates it. Thats why il probably only ever play private partys in my town. I love hardcore / old skool hardcore & breaks / hardcore techno - i arnt going to get a gig playing that in my local wine bar. Yes i could mix trance or bassline or even pop for example to suit but - thats not my style - i got into dj'ing for the love of music not for the money off playing out somethig i dont like each weekend.
Oh then theres working shifts too..which would get in the way if i got a regular spot.

there will always be new artists rig. my mates mate used to DJ in a club, but theyve dropped him as he played r&b and got another guy in who plays cheese, hate to say it but the commerial stuff is leading the way at the min it would seem.
the lads behind 'ultrabeat' are really good dj's/producers.

Basshunter ! Jesus I dislike that guy. He cant sing. His voice is totally weak and his songs all sound the same. Cascada, I keep looking at her wondering if I would or wouldnt, she's not too attractive and again her songs are all the same.
What happened to Paul Oakenfold ?
