Thumbs down Royal Mail Strikes

Hello all - long time no post!

I'm here as a bit of a shill for a new forum I've set up - Rubbish Royal Mail

If you (like me) are fed up with just how rubbish Royal Mail have become over the last few years, maybe you'd like to come over and post?

Otherwise, still saving up for my Scooby - one day!!

All the best,
Damian666

Sadly, it's not great for mine... The difficulty I mainly face is that parts/equipment don't arrive in time if I use cheap(ish) delivery.

If my customers were happy to pay an extra £10 on a £10 network card I'd be laughing!

2.47 Million un-employed, 190K Royal Mail employees. I see a solution.

Blame the management/government and the fact that they now want to run the business not as a public service but to maximise profit.
Management dont give a flying f**k what time you get your delivery anymore or even care if a delivery goes uncovered in my office.
Ive been in the job for 10 years and seen it go downhill rapidly.

Sack the lazy *******....they should be grateful they've got a job in the first place.

People who work in the private sector accept cuts need to be made and there's a likelihood we won't get pay rises, or if we do it'll be the bare minimum...but hey that's life during an economic downturn.

I agree with OllyK....sack the lot of them and recruit from the every increasing unemployed.

Bang on

They might not have ideal conditions, but at least they have a job.

Thousands of unemployed people would love to be in their situation.

Good to see the sweeping generalisations coming out then!.

So you think its fine for all management grades to get bonuses in the thousands whilst the workforce get sweet FA then?.
No ones saying we havent got to move with the times and im sure if you asked 99% of the workforce they would agree.
RM are top of the tree for steam rollering crap ideas that the workforce know will not work and then having to back track after they realise they've fooked up, its laughable in a business that has been running for hundreds of years how they can still make the same mistakes!.
Obviously im not going to expect anyone who doesnt do the job to know what is really going on inside the wheels that are RM but there is more going on than people realise.
I dont want to strike, its a last resort, ive got a family to think about but it is the only way RM will actual sit at the table and negotiate.

what a lot of people don't know, is all the work that RM do for the likes of TNT etc, at a loss, that the government forced them to do when they opened up the mailing industry.
i dont work for R\M either
