Default Vax Carpet Cleaners?!?!

The old carpets at Rosario Towers are in need of a freshen up, and instead of getting some sweaty old conman round where I need to move all the furniture, was contemplating getting a Vax Carpet Cleaner.

Not sure of the model, seen some for around £75 mark, but was wondering, are they any good or do I need to get a "carpet cleaner" round?

Anybody got any experience or even better, recommendations?

Cheers.

The vax one is OK, and so is this: Bissell 1970E QuickWash 2 Carpet Cleaner from ValueLand

But be aware, if yr carpets are old, the cleaner WILL leave them feeling thin, easy to shift, stretch etc

Well, we got one of these:
Buy VAX V-124 | Heated carpet washer - Specification | Comet for about £190 I think a while back, used it to clean our rented out place between tenants. Shifted a lot more mess than an industrial one we'd previously borrowed, or any other machine we've used. Very good, heats the water, beats the carpets as it goes etc, does a surprisingly good job, IMHO.

I brought a uprioght Vax carpet cleaner, thought it was really heavy, similar to this, but the older model.

Also, you have to hoover the carpet first, or the thing blocks up. Thought it wasnt worth the £150 or so I paid for it. In some ways, its better to hire an industrial one, better clean, and you return it, as my one has been sitting in the garage all year, doing nothing.

Next time, I will go for one that has a hand adapter, to do the stairs / seats aswell.
