Thumbs up Watch advice - Sorry and thanks!!!

Right then, serious answers required please.

I have been looking at watches for the wife and narrowed it down to Tag, Longines, Ebel or Omega just wondered which would be the better watch to buy, I've got about £1200 to spend.

Thanks for any advice

Ps - the £1200 can be streched a little

Id forget Ebel and most of the TAG-Heuer range too (and I say that as someone who paid very stong money in 1992 for a (then) rare automatic TAG-Heuer). You wont get a deal of new Omega for £1,200... Youd be better buying a clean used automatic than a new quartz, in my opinion. Longines make some very attractive watches, but theyll only be appreciated by those who care about watches.

Can we have some pictures or model numbers.

Will she wear 3/4 size waches or are they the little dainty types.

Ladies at the moment are wearing mens size watches its very en vogue.

I would leave the Tag.

Ebel have water ingress issues and poor customer aftercare.

Longines will be mistaken for a Breitling.

And I hate the Omega Constellation range with a vengence.

So that leaves you with a Rolex DateJust from David M Robinsons 20% down and the rest interest free over 12 months......you know it makes sence.

I would say buy whatever you think she will like the most. I have a Tag Carrera and there's nothing wrong with it. Very nice watch. I used to own a Longines and always thought they made a nice range for females. Only you know her taste.

The Longines is a nice clear/unclutered timepiece.

If it was me, for my wife, I would visit CostCo and look for a 3/4 Omega SeaMaster Professional....I know she likes this watch, as this is what she wears.

As what was said eailier...Only you know her taste...
