Default Powerpoint - useless fact of the day!

I never realised that Powerpoint was originally developed for the Mac before Microsoft gobbled it up in its formative years!

What useless facts do you know?

I know that one of our duty managers was called off-site to pick up a piece of metal that quote> " Fell from the sky and almost destroyed my car "

and came back with the engine cover off a classic VW beetle.

You cannot call roadies, roadies any more as it is seen to be derogative.

Not sure what they are called now - mobile enterainment technicians?

Did you know

The Apple logo is reputedly in honour of Alan Turing (generally regarded as the father of the computer) who committed suicide after being persecuted by the government for being gay. He took his life by re-enacting a favourite scene from Snow White; he ate an apple he had laced with cyanide.

You knew that already? Ok, I'll get my coat!

There were forty attempts needed before the creation of WD-40, hence the name.

In 1949 scientists claimed that in the future computers may weigh no more than 1.5 tons.

At least one of those is an urban legend so how true are all the others?

Which one is incorrect?

No, it is a legend that the Heinz 57 branding came from the number of products. They had very few products and put out this story to make it look like a much bigger company.
