Default Going to America to study

After my foundation year in engineering, part of me wants to travel to america to get my degree.

Has anybody got a degree from America before?

If anybody knows where i can find out any more information then please let me know as every little helps...

First stop would be here (US Embassy in London) and specifically have a look at this (Student Visas).

I did a year at UCSB and my friend did a year at Florida state. We both had really good times, The visa is not to much hassle if you are offered a place.
I would recommend it 100%.

I'd say if you get the chance, go for it.

They love their sports out there, I spent 6 weeks out there before I went to uni. Couldn't get my head round their school system for their love of Americal football. A rugby player in body armour is dangerous, as my cousin's quaterback found out

Oh, one other thought, any reason why America and not Canada? Might be worth thinking about the great white north as well, we're not too bad you know

Also have a look on British Expats forums, specifically the US sections. Ask away in there and you'll get some good advice.

I'd look for a UK degree course with an American "component".......... in my area a US degree isn't worth Pi$$

Interesting, i have heard that an american degree isnt worth as much, how true is this?
