Default Manic upstairs neighbour

Almost every freaking night after 1 am he starts walking around what seems like heel shoes, dropping stuff on the floor, banging doors and its not helped by the fact that he has wooden flooring so i can hear every freaking thing and it continues for hours on end.

I've spoken to him personally and he assured me that it wont happen again, 1 week later and the same crap happens all over again, so i call up the managing agency and ask them to speak to him about this - 1 week later and we are back to square one.

Is there anything at all that i could do here, i would really hate to move again..

The guy looks like a proper crack addict too and when i came to see him i caught a glimpse of numerous pots and bottles in his apartment when he opened the door.

Well he's a tiny sickly-looking guy that i'd have no trouble dealing with myself but it's obvious that he's just not in his right mind, he's been told what now is 3 times to stop the banging and yet he continues to do so.

Now I really have no desire to fight or even threaten him, as its just more trouble than its usually worth, so i need some legal options how to deal with is, if there are those at all.

Remember now drug addiction is an illness, i would have thought that you would be more sympathetic and less quick to judge based on a look round over their shoulder

Put your concerns in writing to the agency and give them 7 days to respond with how they plan to deal with the problem and the timescales within which they will do it.

Don't worry about the pots and bottles, it's the plastic sheeting and chainsaw you've got to worry about .

**** taking aside you have my sympathy, I dont think i'd be as patient.... I know I wouldn't.

We have the same, only only bit of help comes from the fact that we know who his letting agent is, and are personal friends with one of the area managers

To be honest, i think that ****e laminate flooring should be banned from any kind of flat/apartment unless it is on the ground floor.

Lived under a couple of students for a while in a flat and they played music well into the early hours, despite my repeated complaints. Then I discovered their fuse box was in the entrance hall - problem soon solved...
