Default Sale of the Century....

Whilst in CostCo Liverpool this afternoon I noticed in their jewelley cabinet a loverly Omega SeaMaster Chronograph, full size, auto.( model ref No 2220.80.00 )

Now these usually retail at £2025+.

The cheapest I could find from a dealer I could trust ( in this country so as not to attract import duty ) was in the link below..

WatchObsession - OMEGA SEAMASTER BOND CHRONOGRAPH 2225.80.00 BRAND NEW

And low and behold the CostCo price....drum roll....and cymbal bash.

A saving of £415.00 on MRRP...

Sorry about the quality of the picture, it was taken through glass, after I had slobbered all over it.

Now then I would have bought this watch there and then, but it would have shown up on my CostCo account, therefore giving her the right to by a dishwasher/fridgefreezer/goldplated chocolate fountain etc....so basiacally I cant.

But YOU could grab a bargain, and remember CostCo's return policy is second to none, so dont worry about all the "official dealer" rubbish..go and get it.

Quite nice I suppose, I cant understand how you can afford all these watches, I got the impression that you dont have a 200 grand a year job, how do you do it if its not too nosey, I couldnt comprehend spending £1600 on a watch at the moment !

Do you buy and sell them for profit ?

I'll buy it on my account for you if you give me a small drink (£50 will do).

I have bought and sold at a profit, I have also lost out.

I buy watches because of an illness I have.

Im am not loaded, far from it, Im in hock big time......but it doesnt worry me, as I can afford to pay for everything Ive signed for, and if I cant, they can have it back!

I have three watches on interest free from last Xmas, you may remember as MatteeBoy thought it was stupid and idiotic to buy something you dont need in this manner.

Well there are 2 payments on these and then they are all mine, it didnt kill me paying for them.

I have a car on finance, mine {cough} early 2014 {cough}. , thats looks bad.

A mortgage, and no other debts.

I work hard, and so does my wife, if I can make a shilling on the way I will.

Without going into detail, some things I do, helps me out with my payments.

Buy now/enjoy/worry later.... is it so wrong ?

One of those on my skinny wrist would just look silly!

I've got a TAG Chronograph which just about passes.

So far as what it cost, it definitely is a case of ask me when it is no longer needed. I bought it when a little drunk in Heathrow in 1995 on the way out to South Africa. It still works fine and apart from a bit of wear on the bezel looks like new with no scratches on the glass - it's worn every day too.

Not complaining, just that it amazes me sometimes what people manage to do with a given amount of cash (on the face of it) and makes me wonder what I am doing wrong !

No, dont live in a caravan, it is the house that drains all my money !
