Pedant Mode On:

Drinking whisky doesn't warm you up. It dialates your blood vessels near the surface of your skin which is what causes you to "Feel" warmer - What is actually happening is that your core body temperature is being reduced as the blood heat dissapates to atmosphere.

Flippin' eck. No way is the heating coming on. Its been off since spring.

Thermometer has said its 21.5C inside the house all week and thats with all the upstairs windows on vent.

We had friends over for a BBQ tonight because it was supposed to be nice and it was so cold that we had to put the central heating on! That's got to be a record having that on in August It looks like today is going to be hot though
