He's not only gay, but a complete grinning tw@t, and he has that whole Jamie Oliver "help Julesthh, my tongueths too big for my mouttthhh!!" thing going on.
Really poor program, and a complete farse. Those judges made an absolute bomb off this nonsense, everybody rushing out to buy this poor single because he won a silly TV show.

The programme was "Pop Idol" - Which implies it was very much about "the person" who won. If you enter a competition like that I'm afraid its a certainity that the press will investigate "the idol" for anything that they beleive will make a story. It really shouldnt be a surprise to anyone. There are downsides to being presented (after a lot of effort on his part) with the oppurtunity to make a lot of money.
The whole series was cr*p imho.
He seems to have made his annoucement in time to take the steam out of any stories. Good luck to him. He should grab is five mins of fame and make the best of it. I'm reasonably certain we wont even remember his name in 5 years.

I think Will has a very unique voice & will be around for a long time, I hope he is anyway.
Enjoyed PopIdol & not scared to admit it either
Mind you I also wash the dishes, hoover, tidy-up when we all know it is womens work

I agree that him being gay shouldn`t be a problem for anyone else but sadly I think this is the end of his career.
Anyway, having heard both Wills` and Gareths` songs now, I must say Gareth has got the `look` of pop idol, voice ain`t too bad either.

JoanUk300 - I hope your not right about his career being over, but I agree about Gareth looking the part, they & we (me,missus & daughter)said from the start that Gareth had "the look" of a pop idol & a great voice as well.
But remember Pete saying that Gareth was a Popstar & Will was a Superstar.....time will tell.
