Selling my Rolex - advise
Hello Guys and Gals,
I am looking to sell my Rolex Datejust, just wondering if anyone has done so without part - exchanging for another watch. Is it best to sell privately if so where or to the trade all be it for less money i would assume.
Thanks

I have had no issues selling watches on E-bay, other than PayPal hanging on to my money oflate until pos feedback given.
I have had no issues selling watches here either, lots of them, Omega, Rolex and Breitling brands.
You could also try here... Watchuseek.com | Watch Forums | On-line Watch Shopping | Horloges | Uhren | Montres | Orologio | Relojes | Relogios
More details of the watch would be interesting to me, as I could then give you realistic Ebay reserve.
Nat will give you £50 for it, right now.

Thanks guys,
Its a 1997 Rolex oyster datejust (model i believe is 1600, the papers are at home and i am at work so cant be sure!) with all box papers blah blah. All stainless steel with black batton. Very subtle nothing garish about it at all.
What is it worth, i appreciate a trade price is less than private but as there are so many variations im struggling to get an accurate idea. I assume its got to be circa £1 k.?
Will check these sites out.

The model number is 6 digit number. (ie 16008)
And the serial number will start U and end 1, this will be a 7 digit number. (ie U000001)
You should be safe with £1000+.

Is there a best practice for selling rolex? My brother in law needs rid of his datejust (gold and silver one) but we dont want to put it on ebay as it was over £4k when he bought it.
Anyone know the best places around the Surrey area?

It's called Bi-Metal when you get the two metals (stainless steel and yellow metal)
Bi-Metals don't hold there price as good as the Rolex Sports watches in stainless Steel.
Has it the oyster, jublilee or president braclet?

I got an infraction for this thread!!!!! They said I was trying to sell something otherwise than in the for sale area.
Glad to see it back, For the benefit of the mod that stubbed out this terrible crime, I sold them elsewhere!!!
