Staying in Manchester / Birmingham recommend me places to stay and eat
I am taken the mrs away for a couple of nights in August and we were thinking about staying in either Manchester or Birmingham.
Last time we stayed in Birmingham at the city inn and eat at Chloy i think it was called that it was close to the hotel it was lovely.
Can you recommend me some better places to eat or stay in both places.
I would'nt mind staying somewhere different a bit more modern / Trendy.
Where is the best place to eat ?
Thanks

Book Great John Street The Eclectic Boutique Hotel Collection in Manchester on Bed and Breakfasts Guide.com
then onto man united,
or down to rusholme for a curry.
hilton hotel deansgate, cloud 23 bar,
meal here.
Gaucho Manchester, 2a St Mary's Street, M3 2LB
speaking as a manc, it has really evovled into a european cultural city in the last five years.

Me and the wife stayed at the Jury's Inn on Broad Street in Brum, there's a nice Tapas bar down on Gas Street Basin, plus a cheap cocktail place near the hotel.
Loads of other stuff round Gas Street if you don't like tapas.

Vote for Manchester...
I like Piccolinos...Pau Brasil or Chaophraya...
Gaucho is a bit expensive IMHO,and PLEASE dont go down the curry mile.
Juniper in Altrincham if your feeling very flush..Probably need to book though..

There are some great hotels in Manchester mate. One that always impresses is The Beetham Tower ( Beetham Tower in Manchester ). They do some great weekend deals if you book in advance !
From any town centre hotel in Manchester you are within easy reach of some great restaurants and the night life is cool. What sort of a scene are you looking for ? There is the Northern Quarter ( quite funky and cool ), The Locks ( quite busy ) and the usual mix of cheesy clubs ! Basically whatever you want, you should be able to find it !!! If I can help any more just let me know pal !
