Pork Scratchings!
Went to the farmer's market in Woburn this morning and picked up a whole host of meaty goodness, part of which was a big bag of pork scratchings. I haven't had these for years but oh my it's a taste sensation!
+ves: Taste great
-ves: Fat content of Rik Waller, will not help the quest for abs of steel, missus hates them, it's an old man snack, probably contains brains and hooves.
If you have the chance I highly recommend a bag. You might only live an hour or so after eating them but it's worth it

Girl I used to work with went to a working mens' club one night with her b/f, were watching an act on the stage.
he went off to the bar, came back with two pints and two bags of pork scratchings.
It was dark...........she was eating hers and thought, "Hang on, this one tastes funny, and it's chewy. It tastes almost like a .......................plaster!!!"
And it was, cooked and all nicely manky and yellow inside...........

I love pork scratchings, was a special treat when I was a student. Wouldn't touch them now though, middle aged spread and all that!
