Question Netting the drunks - question for police officers

I keep seeing these documentaries on the police dealing with city centre binge drinkers on a Friday/Saturday night out. You know the type who get drunk and aggressive with the girls sometimes worse than the boys. You may have seen one recently when 4 cops needed a tazer to control one lout.

So what about the cops using a special net, rather like a roomy body bag that they slip over the head and shoulders of the drunk, bring it down over his body and cable tie it around the knees. This would allow the arrested individual to hobble to the the van and he would be almost completely restrained. He could still breath properly, throw up if he needed and or **** in his trousers. Of course some skill would be required to use the net but in many instances I think the suspect could be netted from behind when he is distracted?

May be the heat's getting to me but comments invited.

David

Eeek, but they have to hurt sufficiently to incapacitate someone, so I guess they're gonna leave a mark!

Good footage here
