Just read an ebay listing for one and the guy said it was very rare only few made, then the royal mint say there are 200,000 of them in circulation! That doesn't sound very rare and only a handfull made to me!!

Was just discussing with someone that you could easily file the date off the coins. But that was before I read the article which said the Heads side didn't have a date. And if its the heads side, then it is engraved, rather than a raised date on the tails side.
Damn I'm bored!

Most of them are not even the proper ones, and people have only been taking a picture of one side. There are plenty of idiots about on ebay, and most of them try to sell stuff they don't even look into properly, to make a quick buck.

Fools!
This one here: 20p Undated on queens head side 2006!! on eBay (end time 30-Jun-09 10:53:42 BST)

Is not a proper one. The older style didn't have the date on the Queens head side, anyway. It was on the other side, as this guy clearly mentions. There are loads of them about, but its still making good money, by seemingly genuine bidders.

Seen a few of them

Our most popular carwash program is 2.40 because it is used by all the local taxi drivers, every few days! we get LOADS of 20p pieces in because of this.

Probably passed a few of these 50quid ones through to the post office already

We got a delivery of £250 worth of 20p's this morning, I checked everyone and they all had a year on them.
As said above their are some stupid people out there bidding on regular coins, most of the old coins have the year on the none queens side.

The date should be on the other side, that picture could be any old 20p minted in 2008
