Default little yellow flowers in the lawn,

hi my lawn is shared with my neighbour, we both gut it regularly and its in ok shape apart form very very small weed/moss plant with small single yellow flowers, they are doing my head in, what is it and how can i get rid of it,

it seems even worse this year.

This could be your problem. I find cutting to be much more effective

Embrace the flowers, they are doing no harm and look pretty. My lawn is covered with clover flowers at the moment and there were lots of daisies. Looks lovely

Ditto, could be Oxalis Corniculata, or Lesser yellow trefoil. Never had any real success against it

the lawns are open plan, hes half was full of it but its on my bit now,

its regularly cut, (mostly by him)
buts it doing my head in.

It could be 'pearlwert'. Horrible weed which kills the grass beneath it so even if you kill the weed, you are left with a bald patch.

I use 'weed and feed' couple of times a year and then an extra dose of iron sulphate every now and then. Any bald patches, just re-seed or buy a piece of turf from B&Q and use for patching.
