F1 resolution found, says Mosley
An agreement has been reached between Formula 1's governing body and the teams to prevent a breakaway series, says FIA president Max Mosley.
The two parties had been engulfed in a bitter row over planned budgetary and technical changes for the new season.
But it appears a resolution has not been found, with Mosley agreeing not to stand for re-election as part of the deal "now there is peace," he said.
More to follow.

On Monday, Max was reported to have said that he couldn't possibly step down while F1 was in such turmoil. i.e I will step down IF F1 stops fighting itself.

It will be resolved of course. The breakaway would not work and they all bleedin know it - just alot of hot air (it didn't work in the states)
Max will step down and be seen to have left for the good of motorsport and not because they all ganged up on him (now he knows how the girls feel ) I have actually warmed to him recently. I didn't like the way he handled the fight with Ron Dennis but then I don't know if Ron Dennis really did lie to Max - I think he probably did.
Bernie will answer as many question as possible without actually giving an answer (he really should be PM) I think his relationship with Max has been strained over this and like him or not he holds most of the cards.
FOTA well, they are getting a bit too big for themselves and don't really look good right now in my eyes. As Bernie says, Max came up with the idea for capping to save the sport, bring in new teams and stop existing teams going out of business - and the teams complained? It doesn't actually make that much sense.

The first line says a solution has been found, then it says a solution has not been found! Just the beeb being a bit too eager to stay ahead of the other F1 sites.
Also a lesson of ' read it fully before you cut and paste! '

Insert "w" in place of the "t" in para. 3 so
and it starts to make sense.

I see that Max's comments will really endear himself to the team principals of the F1 teams...
That last sentence is likely to stick in the craw of a few in the pitlane. His statement shows his allegiance to the Motor Industry, not the sport or the teams in it. A surprisingly poor statement from such a supposed leader. Let's hope he has gone.
Mosley hit out at what he described as "wholly unjustified criticism" of the FIA, adding: "It is for the FIA membership, and the FIA membership alone, to decide on its democratically elected leadership, not the motor industry and still less the individuals the industry employs to run its F1 teams."
