Anyone bought a Technika lcd tv???
Went into Tesco today and saw Technika 42-910 Ultra Thin Full HD 1080p 100Hz LCD TV with built-in Freeview for sale for £499.
They are also doing 6 months 0% apr which is nice.
Cant put the link in here, but features are:
Full HD.1920x1080 resolution and 100Hz picture frequency, 4 HDMI sockets and 2 SCART sockets.
Can afford more money for a different unit, but this does look ok.Im a firm believer that you get what you pay for,but im after some educated and none label snob opinions.Any sub £1000 alternatives would be appreciated at the same time

Sounds Ok .If you get it let us know if its any good .
I will be after a new TV for the bedroom shortly .
I think most of it is in the eye of the user .I personally cant tell the difference between any of the Tv,s in the house .Panasonic Veira in the living room ,Lcd Samsung on the landing upstairs ,currently a small 10 year old tv in the bedroom and I honestly dont see much difference between them except the size obviously .
But thats me .Others may tell you different .

Sound quality from most of the LCD TV's is rubbish anyway.
I have a 42" LG6100 scarlet - the TV speakers are just shyte to be brutally honest.
Its ran through a home cinema system though.
I was told by a place that repairs home enterainment stuff to avoid the cheap unknown brands as its difficult to obtain parts and service instructions.
Don't know how true this is, but it seems to make sense.

I bought a 19 inch lcd dvd combo for the bedroom.
It is ok, but nothing special. Plus, the digital tuner is crap and so unresponsive, you could read a book whilst it searches for the next station sometimes!
But, as a tv that is rarely used, it does the job I suppose.

If you're spending that money on a TV I'd not be buying some crap brand like that. I'd be looking at one of the panasonic plasmas personally. Why? Well these brands have a reputation to maintain so they would rather sell a quality screen with less gimic features.

Cheers,Will have a look and see how much its going for...
I kind of knew that in the long run,id wold have regretted buying a cheap/spurious make-you do get what you pay for.
As this would be our main tv,im going to keep the cash and look for a decent plasma.Plenty of time
