I have no idea why this non-elected man is in Government anyway - however he is even more out of touch than Gordo.

He is being interviewed at the moment and talking about what the public wants that is so far removed from reality it is astonishing. It is a very, very dangerous thing when politicians start talking about what 'their people' want rather than what they are offering.

What an egregious man this is.

Its an indication of the complete disregard for the people of this country by the politicians that a man who has been disgraced and sacked twice should be allowed back in an official position of power having been sidelined for a while in a very well paid job in the Eu!

If you are meaning the Andrew Marr interview then we are clearly going to disagree.....

It was an absolute masterclass from the prince of darkness, I thought Andrew Marr was going to start crying and calling him Sir at any moment.

Brilliant TV, whether you like his politics or not

I did see that interview and you are right, he is a very skilled man at carrying such an occasion. I don't think Marr wanted to go quite that far Martin, but he was not having an easy time.

He is a master as you say at "spin", or should I say plain lying! He has a sharp mind and is very well able to marshall an argument.

Your description as far as the "POD" ius on the nose of course and I would not trust him an inch and I certainly would not turn my back on him!

If the term Machiavellian didn't exist, the concept soon would as Mandelsonian.

I totally agree that he was having Marr, literally, for breakfast.

Of that I am not commenting.

Let me offer a simple metaphor. Sometimes companies make big advertising campaigns around 'customer service' for example. In my simply mind no service provider can tell me that I enjoy the service, they can tell me that what they offer and I can choose to like it or lump it.

Mandy spent considerable time yesterday telling the people, via Marr's show, about the people wanting Gordon Brown to get on with Government, for his new cabinet to get on with their jobs. I am not sure Mandy is in a position to tell anyone what the people want, indeed the people seemed to have made a statement of what they want and it does not seem to be Labour politics.

Taking Snet as a (strangely biased) sample of the people I am not seeing many threads here that suggest anyone is vaguely interested in his new Cabinet in getting on with the job. We smell blood and we want to experience some blood-letting of the highest order.

To my mind, this was the politics of arrogance and conceit. And that lovely word, egregious, was made for a man such as this.

Wasn't it Gordon himself who liked to tell the joke about Mandy asking him for 10p, so that he could phone a friend. To which he replied "Here's 20p. Phone both of them"

He looks like the kiddy catcher out of The Sound of Music. I keep expecting him to pop out some lollipops and start singing to the children.

He's a sleazy, lying tw$t that despite being endlessly demoted and sacked, keeps coming back, like herpes !

The govenment is now scrapping the barrel with whats on offer in regards to leadership / quality MP's, than scum like this keeps coming back.
