Interview in 3hours
I'm actually nervous as ****!
I don't know what to wear, i've been reading up about the company and can't remember **** all apart from they own a ranch in Dallas and because I was out in the sun on Saturday my face has decided that today is the day for the skin to peel off
This is my first interview in about 2years, this feels awful as this is boom or bust for me.

Best of luck mate, I know you have been waiting for something like this and I have everything crossed for you.
When we employee ( and I might be old school) a suit goes a long way. Have 2 or 3 questions to ask them, loads of eye contact, take a copy of your CV in with you (more to have something to hold than any other reason) and most of all think big!
Hope it goes well.

Good luck and don't be yourself
P.S. make sure you're cleanly shaven, attire is well ironed and you have all the little things right. This is what I tried to do and then once you feel comfortable with yourself, the rest should follow suit ('scuse the pun).
Also, don't forget Jamie lad, you've worked in sales for a loong time so you're used to dealing with people face to face. Nothing different about this. Good luck mate.

Well my interview went well until the end.....
Apparently i'm too ambitious and in terms of experience over qualified for the job and as they their is very little room in the next few years in actually moving up in the company, the interviewer didn't think this was the job for me.
I put it to him that i didn't mind the fact that the job was "medial" his words not mine because I was happy with the pay structure they have and although i will be losing the responsibilties i have held with other companies, I will be gaining time with my familly and good lady as this job is closer to home and the hours are very much reduced compared to what i'm used too.

All is not lost, as yet.
An interview I went for a least 15 years back at a place called the 'Rainford Group', for a cad-cam design engineers position ( manufacturing RFshielded base stations for Nokia and Motorolla).
The main/senior interviewer asked me " If you were successful in you application where would you see yourself within the company in say 5 years time? "
I said " Sat in your chair."
I got the job.

I moved about on different assignments within the design department from Shielded RFcabinets, to VMS Variable Motorway Signage, to BusShelters and advertising lightboxes. and stand alone light units for poster advertising for More O'ferral and Degaux.
I worked on Autocad V12 through to a MetalSoft programme to design and manufacture parts for the above assignments.
I also programmed punch presses via Fanuc controllers for Amada punching centres, and also programmed a stand alone Salvagnini S4 punching centre.
I stayed for 4 years then I was made redundant, so no I didnt sit in his seat, well I actually did, but just to spin around on it.

Hope you get the right result, must be a bit of a worry if you are waiting for a result.
I wonder why he felt he had to say "medial" instead of using "average" which is at least plain English!

Maybe he meant to say "menial"...would seem to make more sense in this context.
