Won't vote, they're as bad as each other. Said it before, say it again, don't see the point in voting for a party I don't believe in. Thee are none I believe in at the moment, so won't vote.

Fair enough. There are a lot of parties out there though, are you sure none of them have similar views to you?

I've had leaflets through for all the major and most minor parties over the last couple weeks. You can definitely see which have been put together by monkies though, a la BNP etc.

I did look at the UKIP and Conservatives, but some points (which I'd like to remain private) were totally different to my p.o.v.

For some reason, a couple of parties decided I needed 4-5 of each leaflet... anyone else get that

That's so you can tear them into manageable pieces, pierce a hole in one corner, and hang at your convenience About all most are worth

Wouldn't it be better to have people representing you who agree on most issues though? You're never going to get someone who agrees with you exactly... unless you're very wealthy

Point taken. My personal issues being the parties don't agree with the major points. Some come up well with the minors, but unless it covered the majority of what I felt needed change, I wouldn't vote and hold my stance.

Very wealthy... maybe in a few years time

Already voted (postal). Its the longest bollot paper I've ever seen!

Not voting is a cop out IMO. There is no better way to show the current rabble how unopoular they really are other than putting a cross is an opposing party's box.

Remember John Major had more votes than Tony Blair in their respective first elections; its the people who stayed at home and did nothing that made that happen.

(would still love a vote of abstention box box on the ballot papers though ).

Perfectly entitled to your opinion Ali. In the same vein you say not voting is a cop out, I would suggest voting for "anything but..." could be construed in the same way.

Again, agree to disagree.

I have to say COB that not voting will do nothing good in any kind of way.

I feel exactly the same as you about politicians and have little time for the vast majority of them.

The fact remains, we have to have someone to run the country, or to represent us in the grossly corrupt Eu. If no one votes then some scaly bunch will get in by default and we will be even worse off.

I am going to vote UKIP this time around because I want to see a bunch who are against us being in the Eu constitution since I think they are dragging us down, taking our money and telling us how to live in our own country. They have got where they are so far by stealth and we should get out.

I hope that a strong UKIP vote this time will send a strong message to the other parties.

Point taken, but I won't be changing my mind on this for a while yet unfortunately.

I will be voting on Thursday if I remember! I think if you don't vote, don't moan about the state of the country. Then again, I suppose you can always blame everyone else for getting you into the mess.

I'm a floating voter between one of the main parties and UKIP. Someone sell UKIP to me please? I really do feel we need less dependence on (or giving so much money to) Europe, but what are they going to do? How do we sever the ties?
