Dogwatch
A dogwatch at sea is the period between 4 and 6 p.m, the first dogwatch, or the period between 6 and 8 p.m., the second dog watch. The watches aboard ships are:
Noon to 4:00 p.m. Afternoon watch
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. First dogwatch
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Second dogwatch
8:00 p.m. to midnight 1st night watch
Midnight to 4:00 a.m. Middle watch or mid watch
4:00 to 8:00 a.m. Morning watch
8:00 a.m. to noon Forenoon watch
The dogwatches are only two hours each so the same Sailors aren't always on duty at the same time each afternoon. Some experts say dogwatch is a corruption of dodge watch and others associate dogwatch with the fitful sleep of Sailors called dog sleep, because it is a stressful watch. But no one really knows the origin of this term, which was in use at least back to 1700

Order a new Breitling B01 - their first in-house automatic chronograph since the Call11 in 1969.
Not many makers produce their own Auto Chronograph...Rolex, Piaget, Zenith, ETA...that's about it.
Order Two now....get them in a year, keep one, sell one

They all tell the time, but its how they tell it.
All cars transport drivers, but its how they drive.
The type of watches I own and aspire to own, are not just watches, they are wrist instruments and marvels of engineering, they are quite simply works of art and I can bore the **** out of you rambling on about them all night, and often do.

Yoza, watches like cars depreciate, which models( bought pre owned, depreciate the least in your opinion)
Tried on IWC last week but also like GMT II with pepsi bevel.
Looking to pay 3k.
Love to hear your views

Bezel not bevel.
Dont buy anything with a steel bezel insert, you must now buy ceramic.
If you want to make money buy a Rolex Daytona/SeaDweller DeepSea/Millgauss Green.
But unfortuatley you wont get one this side of 2012 at list, so get you money and name down now and forget about it.

I sell to make room for my next grail.
You may want to sell your 06 SeaDweller, and take a huge step up to a Seadweller DeepSea, its a totally different watch.

Yoza, just a quick question, i have a Omega Seamaster (2254.50) which i'm loath to wear to work (big crushy things and piles of hyd oil etc). I was looking at a Seiko Seamonster. What are your thoughts, as i'm wearing one of these (i borrowed from the mrs)
Casio Baby-G BG-169A-2VER: Casio

Seiko Monsters are excellent watches, bullet proof autos.
I would go for a cheaper Seiko Atlas/gadget myself, but there you have it.
Dont buy a rubber strapped watch if your working with Hydroilic oil.
