10 year old boy ejected from car on the M4
'Miraculous' escape for young boy'Miraculous' escape for young boy
A 10-year-old boy had a miraculous escape after being thrown onto a motorway into the path of a lorry, the ambulance service said.
The boy was "ejected" from the back seat on the busy M4 near Bristol after the car he was travelling in hit the central reservation, Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS) said.
In fact the child suffered only minor injuries after flying past a lorry and landing on the hard shoulder.
Geez One lucky little guy I say
Cheers

Scary story there.
Seatbelts being worn, I doubt very much.
PS, Pimmo, ignoring the double post at the top, twice
"the" was used more.
Still less times than you have used "baby" recently
Congrats btw

MMM yoda, it is
There a potential advantage of not wearing seatbelts, in that it allows the person to potentially be ejected from a vehicle saving the body from the excessive and leathal forces caused by instatantly coming to a halt.
The problem is, is the possibilty of not getting ejected and if ejected, its down to pure luck on what you hit, or if you roll like a rag doll until you stop.
Still, no excuse not to wear one though

This lad was exceptionally lucky, but my money would be on people who wear seat belts every time!

Understand what you mean, I don't
Sorry it just came out like that, 2 thoughts, 1 line, 0 thought.... = Yoda lol
Ali, I agree but the chances of it being safer than not, are so small...... its just safer to, than not
No excuse indeed I agree. Im an habitual wearer. Some however completely disagree, until of course they are forced to eat humble dashboard.

Unfortunately, more often it's a case of what brings you to a instantaneous halt! If it's not the seatbelt, it will probably be the windscreen, or even worse, the head of the person sitting in front of you, which will most likely be fatal for them. Even if you are thrown out of a car (remote chance) there is still a chance you'll have an unpleasant encounter with something solid....e.g. a tree.

That was a very lucky lad to get away with that one too.

Being ejected from the car is not always safer anyway. Look at the guy in the USA recently ejected from his minivan as it rolled while being chased.
He was thrown into the path of 5 pissed off cops on foot who then beat the hell out of him (dont run son!)
