Default Spider on the loose !!!!

Just saw the huge bastid out the corner of my eye while i was playing facebook poker, so couldn't immediately react (halfway through a hand) anyway saw him head towards my R/C car remote control on the carpet and stop.

finished my poker hand, grabbed the slipper (from the safety of the couch) and he's GONE !!!!!

moved everything within reach from the sofa and he's nowhere to be seen.

looks like the lounge will be out of bounds for a while now.....

roll on the sleepless night !!!

if i dont repost, he's got me in my sleep !!!

With you on keeping the lounge out of bounds!

But never had you down as a pipe & slippers bloke!

Think saying you grabbed a copy of Total Impreza or Nuts would have sounded better!

Hope it didn't get you in the night!

Have a look on google for a huntsman spider..... that one WILL make you stay out of the lounge. I once saw some pics of one that was hiding behind a clock in a house in Auz.... it made my skin crawl!

There's one in the bath this morning and I'm home alone this weekend.

It's about the size of a 50p piece (inc legs) and Rosie hasn't even looked at it (she normally eats anything!). Can I get away with not having a shower until tomorrow night?

I don't want to kill him.

Anyway, he'll probably just hang on to the underneath of the plughole until I'm in the shower and then he'll climb out just when I'm all soaped up!

You just want to hope it isn't a camel spider

There was a story about six months ago about a place in the UK where a squaddie had brought one back from Iraq without knowing ..... And it was terrorising the household

Euuuuuwwwwww! She had a big fat fly for pudding.........blecch!

If she'd waited until the spider had eaten the fly, it would have saved her from chewing twice!

My kitties go frantic when they see wriggly-wiggly creepy crawlies. Spiders are their favourite prey.

I don't mind spiders and daddylonglegs type of creatures. They are unquestionably safer and less creepier than some humans at any time of the day or night.

You wanna come and have a look in my shed, about 2 weeks ago I was trying to find one of my power tools when black spider, about 2.5 - 3 inches including legs crawled out, grabbed the closet thing to hand, my trusty weed killer flame thrower thinging, aimed an 8 inch flame at the beast, heard it sizzle for a second or 2 then watched as the beast ran away still smoking! Scared ****less about going in again as its probably bigger and really pised off with me!

Found this in web about a metre across hanging from our washing line last night. It's a Garden Orb Weaver and is not quite that large .

This one's a St Andrew's Cross and the actual beastie is around half the size as shown below.

I'm not sure what this one is yet. Size is about 1½" across and if you look closely there's 2 rows of eyes.
