EVO printed my letter.
A little shameless self-promotion I'm afraid...
A friend and I made a bet to see who could get a letter printed in EVO (the magazine) first. He won that bet about 8 months ago (the chuffer!), mainly as I hadn't bothered to even write in (the chuffer!!). Anyway, I did a few weeks ago, and they only went and printed it.
Page 59, titled: Choppers.
I'm rather chuffed!

One of the guys who writes for them freelance (a John Simister), gave me a free mint condition bonnet for my 205 a few months back. Drove down to his house in Hertfordshire and had a looksy in his garage. Old skool MG from the 70's and a 1959 Saab. Not to mention the very first 1.9 205 GTi in the UK on a 'D' plate.
Nice guy, very well spoken with a vast vocabulary.
Sure he still writes for them.

I got listed in the results section of Motorsport News once (when it was called Motoring News) when I used to compete in AutoGrass racing.
This was doubly exciting as I knew my Dad had subscribed to it for years - (it lived in the downstairs loo - is this the only time men can multi-task!! ) and had been involved in Motorsport for years, but never got a mention himself!!

What the F___?!?! This threads supposed to be about me!!
I did wonder whether some on here had had letters printed before. It is incredibly satisfying although I must admit that mine was a bit of a sell-out. I printed exactly what I thought would get printed enabling me to even things up between myself and my mate Pete.
It's a cracking magazine and writing for it is right up there in my dream jobs list.
COB - I think John still writes for them, although members of staff do tend to slip away quite quietly from the mag. I particularly hoped Jethro Bovingdon and Richard Meaden would have had a bit of a send off. They always seemed a bloody good laugh.

I've had a MN Star Letter too! And there was a pic of me in Banzai, sat in someone's boot whilst their car was on the rollers at Well Lane (had my copy nicked!)
