Question Who suffers badly with insect bites?

It would seem that the biting season is well and truly upon us, I'm covered in the blooming things already

I work mainly outside by a river so don't stand a chance as far as mozzies and gnats go, they LOVE me Why is this? What is it about me that they like? What can I change? I take antihistamines every day but still the itching is driving me mad.

Show me some empathy my fellow sufferers

I suggest not wearing anything day-glow yellow jackets, as they head straight for it.

I was searching a garden for drug-war related stuff last week and seemed to attract all the beasties in the garden. I suggest a couple of bottles of wine during the evening and one for lunch. It's not a case of the booze puts them off, but you'll hopefully be too tipsy to notice the bites

I use 100% Deet but the buggers still find a way through it, plus it melts my handheld computer that I have to use whilst I'm out and about in the biting zone. I despise all anti-insect sprays, they're 'orrible

Avon 'Skin-So-Soft' Replenishing dry oil body spray
(The light blue/green bottle)

Best stuff going for stopping the little blighters biting.
I spend a fair bit of time up at Kielder, and through the summer/autumn, the place is the 'midgey' capital of Britain.

It's not marketted as a repellant, but does a FAR better job than any insect-repellant I ever used. They sometimes still land on you, but don't bite.
I hear that even the SAS use it 'in the field'

Can you simply not delegate the job to someone else?

Its either all or nothing with me. Either I walk out unscathed or I get bitten to hell and back.

I have some great repellant, except when I'm competing in the wood, I can't use it as it melts the string material.

The one in the blue bottle (soft and fresh) is the one to get.
AVON SKIN SO SOFT REPLENISHING DRY OIL BODY SPRAY SOFT&FRESH

NOT the soft & sensual version in the pink/white bottle.
