Changing dollars to sterling

I need to change some dollars to sterling. Having searched the web I can only seem to find the rate that companies like Travelex offer to sell dollars.
Anybody know where I should go to try and can the best rate for selling my dollars?

try the post office, rates are competitive and no comission
