Got a DC07 from Currys myself, not the cheapest place, but they really are the dogs danglies
Hoovered with a DC01 and then followed up with the DC07 and I was amazed at the amount it picked up
Only problem I had was when I hoovered up a shoelace and the belt came off of the motor. Quite common apparently, they did offer to do a fix tho

What so they do loads of different models ?!?
What sort of price am I talking about for the DC07 ?
Is the DC07 the top-of-range, with scoobysport downpipe, etc ? Think I'll look for their website.

The DC07 is the latest model and there are 6 variances of that one The Dyson website is very good.
They even to a DC07 Animal which has a turbo brush
There is a DC07 comparison here to help decide which one to get

hmmmm £189 for a DC07 top-of-the-range-take-no-prisoners model.
rrp £229
My god - I can't believe I'm about to say:
"The DC07 has 45% more suction than the dual cyclone mode"
Cheers DJDunk

No, Dyson have changed this recently. I phoned them on the Monday a man came to my house on the Wednesday to fix it.
It used to be back to base, not anymore
The service from Dyson is second-to-none
Edited to say you get a 2 year guarantee. Better than most manufacturers

Before you rush out and buy one here is my view. They are built out of the worlds cheapest plastic! I was putting one together and the bloody thing broke. All our display models are broken and although the DC01 was good they are not so good now IMHO. Look at the Sebo cleaners if you want suction and build quality. Prices are about the same as Dyson. Cheers just my 2p's worth
Edited coz I can't spill

Doh! Don't say that jimbrit!
Besides, is it that important what they're built from, if all they're doing is sucking up dirt AND they've got a cracking Warranty ?
Next week I'll pop down to the shops and see if I can see a Sebo, if not its a DYSON for me.

Tesco are the cheapest Dyson retailers in the country (apparently).
<lowers voice> They are running a VAT free event on all Dysons from Monday 11th March so hold off if you're not desperate

Can't believe I'm replying to this...
We bought a DC07 all singing all dancing a few weeks ago and I have to say it's pretty amazing. It even lifts the carpets in the middle of the room. I used it after sanding a floor (2cm deep sawdust) 2 weeks ago and it shifted the lot.
Don't tell anyone I was here...

If you want a Dyson, buy one. Just in my experience I'm now selling 10 Sebo's for every Dyson. No price difference/commissions/incentives etc just on performance/BQ
End of the day you are the consumer its up to you

The upright is crap is you have hard floors (wood tiles lino etc) It blows all the stuff in front of it. The other ones (not upright - take your dog for a walk type) are better in this case, and they don't have a drive belt to break

Ok ,Flame suit on!!!!
I have given my opinion on Dysons before. I have a "Contact" from what thay have told me I would not buy one. They are badly made and forever going wrong. If you have one that has been ok,fine..... but the amount that go wrong is very high. I have used about six different models, They all feel Plasticky..
The best you can buy are Miele.

I don't care, it's the missus' job
We just got a turquoise/grey (why do they call it silver???) one for 209 quid from http://www.pluggedin.co.uk/. It was 209 quid all in and 48 hr delivery. Saved us 41 quid on the rrp so we were quite chuffed (as chuffed as you can be with a new vacuum cleaner ).
We have a long haired cat and you wouldn't believe the amount of crap it picks up. We could have made her a fur jacket
It's much harder work than our old vacuum though, probably due to it's super suction. That's why I don't do it any more

Dysons are a very good idea if you have pets cos they pick up LOADS of hair !!! The first time we used ours, it filled up the hoover with hair and cr@p. It made me sick to seed what we had been living in...........
Also the service is excellent. I havent had the hoover go wrong in 2 years, but the engineer was out the following day for the washing machine !

I got a DC05 Motorhead from a store off kelkoo - I think it was called Northern Electric (in Gateshead) - the first few times I used the beast I couldn't believe how much crap it picked up. For a hoover it is excellent and if you've got a dog this is one of the models to go for - brilliant!!
I got it c. 6 months ago for £249.99 delivered next day - all high street stores wouldn't match it, the best they could do was £300 and in Argos it was £340.
Bargain for a great machine ... I hope the missus doesn't read this, she'll get me doing the chores more often
Cheers
Phil
