Whats the rulings on stonechips to glass and MOT's?
I picked up a stone chip on the front screen tonight on the way home from work. I'm going to try and get it done before tuesday (mot day) but whats the ruling??
Its about 1 inch to the left of the rear view mirror stem on the passenger side. I can't even see it from inside the car when driving.
Its not swept by the drivers side wiper, but is just swept by the passenger side 1.

What do you mean on the outside???? No inside so it just hides the chip. Doesn't matter if you can't see it as long as mirror in not obstructed.
I think my insurance company offer free stone chip repair but a £40 excess for full screen replacement. dl

It's no problem for the MOT. Have a look at Will my car pass the MOT with a chipped windscreen? | Glass Doctors UK Auto Windscreen Chip Repair NOT Replacement for the rules.
