Default Whats the rulings on stonechips to glass and MOT's?

I picked up a stone chip on the front screen tonight on the way home from work. I'm going to try and get it done before tuesday (mot day) but whats the ruling??

Its about 1 inch to the left of the rear view mirror stem on the passenger side. I can't even see it from inside the car when driving.

Its not swept by the drivers side wiper, but is just swept by the passenger side 1.

Would it be in a suitable place to stick on a small nodding dog or an air freshener?

Is this for me?

What do you mean on the outside???? No inside so it just hides the chip. Doesn't matter if you can't see it as long as mirror in not obstructed.

I think my insurance company offer free stone chip repair but a £40 excess for full screen replacement. dl

It won't fail, needs to be right in your line of vision when looking forward from driving position.

yeah it was Can't see the chip from the inside. You can only see it from the outside becuase the mirror hides it.

Going to ring the insurance tomorrow, hopefully they will be able to do it Monday, stone chips are free atleast.

It's no problem for the MOT. Have a look at Will my car pass the MOT with a chipped windscreen? | Glass Doctors UK Auto Windscreen Chip Repair NOT Replacement for the rules.

I think that it shouls be ok since it is not in the swept area of the driver's wiper blade.
