Default My new Plasma feature wall

I've posted this in DIY, but thought it may be of some interest to some on you non DIYers. Pretty much copying an idea from AV forums

Not sure about that see through wall, have you thought of something a bit more opaque ?

TH42px80 42" Panasonic Viera currently on my bedroom wall

The piece of chipboard in the "in progress" pics is the same size, but pic quality is better on the Viera

Guaranteed no lost pixels on the chipboard though

.. House is empty at the minute, so i've been doing the whole lot over the past few weeks. I reckon the feature wall on it's own could be done in a weekend. The sanding and filling caused a lot of dust, wouldn;t like to have to do it in a furnished room !

That's why the bracket moves if necessary. . There's only 2 of us, so not really an issue anyway. All that matters is my seat right in front of the tele

Units are £78 each from Ikea.

Yes.. the backs of the units are open and vent behind the floating wall, where the cables run. I can allways fit a PC Case fan if necessary to the back of the units but i'm confident there won;t be an issue.
