Leaving a legacy
Has anyone thought about doing so?
I mean when we die, unless you make a scientific/artistic discovery/composition or engage in a heroic act of some kind or become famous (last thing in the world i've ever want to be!) some other way or infamous (not necessarily a bad thing and i'm pretty sure i could brutalise and kill half a dozen smack dealers before getting caught but then the rest of life in prison bit is a definite no-no) then once you go, apart from your family/friends you are gone forever and your time/name is history in every sense.
Now i like most people give regularly to charity and other such social niceties but i'm thinking of something more. Something to start planning and thinking about, setting up NOW that will come to fruition in years to come and outlast my life and others who quickly pass and fade into insignificance once they're dust has settled.
Has anyone else thought of such a thing that they might do?
I've only just started thinking about it the last day or two so have no real ideas of plans yet but would be keen to hear what other people think on the matter.....

I already have left a legacy - I write music and songs. I've written songs about my family and other loved ones.
I've also had stuff released so I'm pretty covered on my contribution (albeit small) to this world
