Default Storm in a teacup.

BBC NEWS | UK | Wales | **** costume councillor cleared

FFS it was an 'Allo 'Allo themed fancy dress.

<Pedant mode>
It's not a "****" uniform. It's a German military uniform. ****'s thought black was cooler.

Course it is, he was only in appropriate fancy dress for a party for goodness sake. That was one of the truly funny programmes on the box and the Germans I used to work with watched every episode, some used to come to work raising a hand from the elbow saying "Clop" instead of Good Morning!

Agree with the posts above, not even the germans find it offensive now. Yes it was terrible but ffs it was 60 odd years ago now.
A german guy we always meet at the ring is often joking about allo allo and invading poland and the fawlty towers scene.
Blown out of proportion imo.

If he went dressed as Joseph Fritzel that would be an entirely different matter
