Dog breeders
Does anybody know of and can recommend a reputable english bull terrier breeder in North Wales??
I've wanted one for a few years now and am in the middle of researching where to get one from. However you cant beat recommendations from people who have had experiences

Dogs home prob a bit far, but fair point, the places are bursting at the seams with them.
Champdogs has gone down hill, some serious puppy farmers there.
Dont be afraid to travel to a good breeder, in some cases a couple of hundred miles.

Please dont buy from a puppy farm, we took a rescue dog that was used by these bar*tards, to breed from, our Annie will carry the scars for the rest of her life because of the way she was treated !

We researched getting our Lab pup through the Kennel Clubs puppy finder lists.

KC is important for sure, but reputation, seeing a good Dam and Sire, and good health checks are equally important.
Farmers have their pitch off to a fine art now, and can seem very convincing. Given the money they turn over, I can see why.

Sorry me too, my typing never reads as meant
What I meant was I decided the KC was as good a place as any to start after looking about. The 'breeders' I spoke to who said this was their first or second litter and knew nothing about the medical conditions I asked about I did not bother with. We have chosen a puppy from an elderly couple who have been breeding dogs for 40-50 years, owned both dame and sire as well as other dogs and were very clued up. The parent dogs were in beautiful condition and two of the best looking Labs in terms of weight/shape i've seen. The sire was boisterous/exciteable and very large (although he had just been let out his crate) but the dame was an amazing temperament and was brilliant with our kids and with all that combined we decided to take a puppy from them. Only a week to go now and can't wait!

KC really isnt as good as you would think.
I got my puppy from a KC registered breeder and she spent the first 6 months
in and out of the vets as she was so pawley (intentional punn) shes great now but it cost an absolute fortune even with the insuance.

get yourself to crufts tomorrow ideally (as its terrier day) there will be more EBT`S there than you could shake a ****ty stick at! and this is the best place to find out of pups and breeders
