Anyone been to Mauritius?
Off on holiday next week and just wondered what was good to do and where to go? Also for anyone who has been - what currency is used there?
We're staying in Turtle beach area but can't seem to find proper info online. No doubt someone off here has been before.

Think Turtle Bay is on the Nortwest Coast. Thats where I stayed and the best place on the island to be IMO. If your hotel is close to Grand Baie it is well worth going to. It is a small town with a few bars and restaurants. Although we were AI we went out and had early drinks there.
Port Louis the capital is 35 mins away and well worth going to, look for the food and clothes markets.
I liked it a lot there, great diving to.
