Default Anyone been to Mauritius?

Was looking to go somewhere in June but a few things have come up since that mean that isnt possible.

Quite fancy Mauritius in Sept as looks to be one of the driest months and avg temp high.

My girlfriend went about 7 yrs ago at stayed at Le Coco Beach Resort and had a great time. Anyone been to this particular resort? Trip Advisor reports seem pretty good and it has extensive grounds and beachline.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Si

Hi

My wife and I got married on the beach in Mauritius, absolutely fantastic place, if you're looking for a hotel I can't recomend the Dinarobin highly enough, likewise with Beachcombers, best travel company I have ever used, by an absolute distance, no detail was left unchecked, we were treated like royalty.

DINAROBIN HOTEL GOLF & SPA • Mauritius • A Beachcomber Hotel

Thumbs up

We did Mauritius last September.
Stayed at the Beau Rivage - fantastic place.
Did a lot of diving, but it was a bit choppy that time of year, and not as warm as the summer (obviously), a bit like the Maldives off season in many ways.
Can't recommend Mauritius highly enough.

Strange you say that as all the websites / brochures say that June, July & August are the cooler months and picks up again in Sept which tends to have the least rainfall of any month. We will probably go mid-end of Sept anyway to avoid the end of the school holidays.

After 3 days of extensive reasearch we've pretty much decided on La Pirogue on the North West side of the Island:

La Pirogue - Mauritius

Just need to locate the best deal now. Cheers for everyones input.
