Was driving into London, on the A1 approaching Highgate. Got caught at the lights where the A1 and A1000 cross and look to my left at the driver of the car in the next lane......

Dev from Coronation Street is the driver of a battered N reg Pug 306 with (I assume) his Mrs. Our eyes meet, he nods at me, I nod back and then he floors his banger as the lights change and off he goes.

Was he nodding in recognition of me recognising him, or fancying a race?

I let him win as I needed to fill up at the station 20 metres away.

The wife and I saw him a few weeks ago driving past McVities in the 306 - We knew it was him.
I imagined him driving a Lexus or Beemer... Not a £50 car though
