Surreal??
Has anyone had a surreal experience like this?:
Went shopping the other week at my local sainsburys.
Went around 6 and had a look at the reduced section. Picked up 4 lots of chicken breasts for 60p each.
Normally these are £5.99 each, but if you buy 2 they take £5 off.
With those I also picked up Steak, Chops & some fish (All Reduced) along with several other standard bits & pieces (milk etc)
Got to the till - The chicken went through first and the till read -£3.00
She called the supervisor over who said they couldn't over-ride the computer and put it through anyway.
When I'd finished packing, the cashier opened the till and handed me a receipt and £3.96.
I went home with about £50 worth of shopping and £4 better off !!

Hello
It is very common when you have ""2 for £x". If you meet the requirement of buying 2 you get -£x on your bill and when things are on end-of-life offer it is often less than the item.
Too complicated (well, costly) to get the till to do anything different (from someone who used to program these things).
