Question How wet does it have to get...

...before people slow down?

Late last night drove down the A3 and round the M25 clockwise.

Many parts of the A3 and M25 were treacherous and I was often doing less than 60mph in the Scoob.

The amount of people who went hurtling past me, at crazy speeds, was scary.

The worst being an X reg Hyundai who must have been doing 90mph on a flooded stretch of the M25.

If these people want to die, could they please do it when I'm not trying to get home whilst bursting for the loo. TIA.

Not so much the speeding but I was driving home last night in the rain M4/M25 and the amount of people in the far/middle lane doing 40-50 was massive, (even worse than normal).

I'm sure they see themselves as some kind of stand in Police preventing anyone from going faster than them.

I have no problem with other slowing down if they wish in bad weather but ffs get in the right lane when you do it.

i dont have a problem with people in the middle lane, in really treacherous conditions, i find it pretty dangerous and nervy in the inside lane, behind lorries you cant see ****

and i like to drive to conditions about 1/2 a mile ahead of me -- not just the taillights in front of me

Agreee with following a lorry, but how about the stretches where there are no lorries?

I reckon you would find that they consider themselves to be star drivers able to cope under any weather conditions regardless and therefore feel that they are entitled to drive at stupid speeds for the conditions forgetting that they could so easily be caught up in someone else's accident which can so easily happen leaving no chance to avoid the problem because of their excessive speed.
