The lack of knowledge in the media these days is frightening. These howlers from a subject about which I know little.
wrt the transfer window, some team has signed a player from Ache Athens according to the radio this morning. And even I know that the Spurs goalie is not called Gnomes, poor use of the auto spellchecker I suspect.

'Quickly growing smaller' sounds much better but, by default if this is more correct then 'Growing smaller quickly' is the better option as Les points out.
