Britain is facing return of three-day week - UK Politics, UK - The Independent
Shame you'll loose 2/5's of your pay.

And would the government therefore also lose 2/5 of NI contributions ?
If there is a genuine case in manufacturing sector of reducing the number of days then OK - but maybe if the government stopped making silly statements - creating more uncertainty like this and the press lapping it up and playing on it then might have a chance of sorting this mess out.

Will the Govt work 3 days a week & take a pay cut of 2/5ths
Course not + they'll give themeselves healthy pay rises too. Can any other organisation afford to let their staff double their earnings with expense claims ...

I guess a 3 day week is better than being laid off tho! I wouldn't like to be out there looking for a job right now - sounds like any vacancies are getting completely swamped with applications...

No chance of my company going to a three day week, we've had the busiest start to the year in 15 years and things are getting busier. I reckon week after next and we'll be back on overtime.

Does anyone really think we'd be better off with Cameron? His talk about the IMF last week was condemed by economists as alarmist, wrong and shows he lacks experience.
Doesn't matter who is in charge. We're screwed until events change.

We would be WORSE of with Cameron IMO ...... they haven't a clue!
3 Day Week would suit me down to the ground to be honest, I'm old enough to be able to take advantage of it - would be GREAT!
